Three Steps To Clearing Mental Clutter + Surviving covid

Published almost 3 years ago • 1 min read

Positive Affirmations

I’ve been talking about all the decluttering and organizing of things for a while. But what about clearing mental clutter? I give you three steps to clearing mental clutter — one of which will vastly improve your health and mood — on the Destiny Architecture blog.

Just a reminder, I haven’t recorded any new episodes of the Fearless 5 Podcast — yet.

But my health is finally improving and I am receiving my first dose of the covid-19 vaccine today. (Left intentionally lowercase to disrepect it and steal its power). My 90-day covid anniversary was yesterday, meaning it’s finally safe for me (a long hauler) to get my shot!

This means my Independence Day should be May 31st. But today begins my second act.

Life is so valuable. So precious. So meant to be lived loud and cherished.

At my sickest, I lost one of my good friends of 20 years; we’ll be holding his memorial in Phoenix during Labor Day weekend. I will be thinking of him tomorrow as I get my shot, along with another friend I lost to covid in October, and the friend who took his life in September because the isolation got to him.

To say I’m about to embark on my second act would be putting it lightly. But it’s time to once again transform. Sitting at home for the past three months has given me the time and clarity needed to reflect and re-prioritize my life. I‘ve transformed before and I’ll do it again.

Ways I’ve transformed before:

✅From broken to sober

✅From food stamps to full-time job

✅From a dead career to a new career (lost count of how many times)

✅From codependent to healthy relationships

✅From size 16 to 12 (Ok, I was a lot younger then ;)

✅From Atheism to highly spiritual and religious

And now, from covid kicking my ass and falling O2...to restoring myself to full health.

It has NOT been easy. There was not only covid but two missed diagnoses which led to firing my doctor. Now I’m on a new journey, which I’m only just beginning. You know I’ll begin sharing it soon!

How did I make it?

I am in awe that I made it through. I am blessed with good friends, yoga, and Reiki.

For every bad experience, there was an equal or better redeeming experience.

So as you start your week, remember to believe in redemption. That people are good. That miracles DO happen.

I can’t wait to bring you more.

This month, we’re celebrating 5 years of Destiny Architecture! (Heartfelt letter time! Here’s some of my story). Happy 5th Birthday to Destiny Architecture! Am I ever excited to still be here after starting DestinyArchitecture.com five years ago! I began the website while still completing my 100-hour Transformational Life Coaching Certification at the Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts, which I was awarded in early 2017. I started Destiny Architecture after a couple years of sober...

There's quite a bit to get caught up on here in the coaching/Reiki/yoga world of Destiny Architecture...because guess who flat out forgot to send you an email last week? Hey, breaks are good! You know what else? I guarantee that, just like me, you didn't notice when I didn't send out the usual Monday morning newsletter! I didn't realize I hadn't sent it out until halfway through Monday... I was really that busy last week -- It totally slipped my mind! So here we are, back again. Hopefully,...
